Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 15 - 33 mph Surf / Sea State: flat ish Air Temperature: 8 c windchill -3 Sea Temperature: cold Weather: sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Was the first to arrive a brog. before the lake manager even. Dam it felt
cold today with the north in the wind, full winter gear today boots, hood,
fleecy rash vest, and marigolds !
Rigged up 7m sail and 150 lts board and the wind dropped ......typical !
The wind picked back up a little so ventured out on the water got a nice
few runs in til things dropped off again was nice to go sit in the nice
warm club house.......inland sailing has its good points.
Wind back back on the water few more runs then it was back to the warmth
of the club house.
Wind picked back up so back on the water got some runs and gybes in (hadn't
had a ducking yet) thought I was on for a dry day. then................
the wind picked up and up was blowing a constant 25 gusting nearly 35
things got very interesting on the 7m and 150 lt board lots of heading up
wind didn't know it was possible to spin out with a 46cm fin but i done it
today. Really went for it on one gybe totaly maxed out got about half way
round ( was amazed I got that far) and the board just turned over and I
got a big dunking water right up one wetsuit leg and down the other *@%:
it was cold!
Had a little rest had gave it another go wind was still to much would of
changed down but couldn't be bothered.
With the wind picked up it was getting bitterly cold so decided to call it
aday
